We have a 06 Durango that seems to be having some electrical issues right now. It died on us while drive like something got shorted out or something. Now we get into to start and nothing happens. There is a red light that comes on the dash board and I know that is related to the security system.

I was able to jump it and let it run for a while but then tried to start it again nothing happens still.

Could be battery
Could be Security
Or even a short

 

I had a similar problem with my 04. Simple solution and only cost about 12 bucks. Try going to autozone get a replacement neg battery cable splice that should fix it. Did that to mine 4yrs ago still going strong. Help this helps.
