Default How to check codes on 04

2004 Durango ST 4.7L 4x4, 46,000 miles. Just bought it. Drove 100+ miles just fine. Daughter takes it to school this morning and check engine light comes on. I go to the school and see it on. Shut the vehicle off then start it back up. No check light. Drove it home just fine.
It's 12 miles to the auto parts store to get it checked by their reader.
Tried the On Off On Off On and I get nothing. By nothing I mean I am not even getting a "end" code to tell me there are no faults.
Am I not doing the key function right or is that possibly not supported on this vehicle?
Bought it from a Dodge dealer and they gave me a 30 day/1000 mile warranty, so push come to shove, I just take it to them.
Thanks

Autozone or a NAPA should pull them for free. I do not think the key dance works on 2004 models.

"that is a network code from the manufacturer. the "U" tells me it is a network code, and the "1" after it tells me it is a manufacturer specific code.

U1120-Lost wheel distance message
Set condition: the PCM doesn't receive a vehicle speed signal from the anti-lock brake module over the CAN C bus.

Possible causes:
CAN C bus circuit open or shorted
Anti-lock brake module
PCM"

Looks like you will need to take this to the dealership for diagnostics.
