04 Durango 5.7 died while coasting
I've been having some weird issues with my Durango. Tonight on the way home from work I was exiting off of the freeway and at the top of the exit I noticed it was dead. I was just coasting. I put it in neutral and it started right back up with no problem. No codes or lights, nothing.
The truck has 137k on it and I replaced the plugs and pcv at 135k. I also cleaned the throttle body around 113k.
The other weird issue I had was early this past winter. I started it to warm it up in the morning and went inside. After about 5 minutes I heard a strange noise. I open the door and the engine was surging. From about 500 to 2500rpm. It also turned on the light for the throttle pedal problem. I tried recalibrating it and that issue stopped Im just not sure if the two are related.
So has anyone else had this issue and if so what did you do to take care of it?

My 5.7 has died at the exact same spot going towards an intersection down the street from my house three times in six years. Slightly downhill and braking to a stop sign. I would not worry about the stalling unless it happens while the engine is surging and seems to happen more than once or twice a year.
After I started it back up it ran just fine the rest of the way home and the couple other times I took it out. I just hate when things like this happen. Im very meticulous about my vehicles like that. LOL
