transmission problems driving me nuts
I have been having problems with 2004 durango 4.7, got the p0700 code and it was going into limp mode , after shutting it off would go back in normal mode until got to stop light and back into limp mode, a mechanic friend of mine said it was the speed sensors , so replaced them and tpm, didnt help, lol, took it to transmission shop and read the code p0750 out of tcm, said i needed a new solenoid pack and it would be around 800.00, i bought a new one and had my friend put it in, changed filters, and now it doesnt go into limp mode , light came back on though and it doesnt shift right, doesnt seem to want to go into overdrive lock or 4 th gear, other than that it doesnt shift to bad,, dont understand why it didnt kick into limp mode with return of p0700 code, im at my wits end, any thoughts from anyone, any help would be appreciated,
If there a problem with the transmission, the only code you will get from the PCM is the P0700 code. You need to scan the TCM side of the module and find what the active or stored codes are. Also in some cases you will need a scanner to clear all codes.
