2005 Dodge Durango Cam Shaft

It's a 5.7 hemi engine. The repair technician said it was the cam sensor.
He also said the spark plugs were dirty, they were replaced which helped a little.
Previous technicians have been unable to resolve the problem (my mother drove the car prior to me). I put a tester on the engine yesterday afternoon and it just said transmission problem generic code p0700. (Though it was replaced in 2010)
On occasion the engine runs and the car doesn't move but sometimes the engine just stops.

KV:
I spent some time looking through my factory manual, but did not see a quick example of the cam sensor location.
Since the 5.7 is cam in block and not overhead cam, I am going to bet that it is located somewhere on the front of the engine near the upper middle.
Possibly another member knows and will chime in with the location.
How many miles on the D, and what trim line and options does it have?
A 2005 Durango is a pretty nice piece of machinery for a 16 year old! My first car was an old 1972 Camaro that needed a lot of TLC.
