2006 Durango security system locked up?
Durango won't start or even turn over. Red security system light is solid and on even when key is not in the ignition. I have already tried jumping it, unhooking the battery, resetting the alarm using the key, checked all fuses. What else can I do? I am not really in a position to have it towed in to a dealer right now.

Missneato,
I'm sorry to hear about your concerns. If you'd like to PM me your VIN#, I can review to see if there are any outstanding recalls on your vehicle or you can review recalls at:
http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/...2Findex_en.jsp
Click on "Get Recall Information".
Unfortunately, it is difficult to properly assess the cause of your no start concern by correspondence as there are too many variables involved. Therefore I would suggest having the vehicle diagnosed by a Dodge dealer.
If you have any questions or are seeking additional assistance reviewing with a dealer, please feel free to PM me.
MN:
How many miles on the D, and what shape is the battery in? Making sure that there are no open recalls is a good start.
What age and kind of shape is the battery in? If you are not sure, have it load tested to rule out any issues there.
When you do the battery disconnect reset, be sure to depress the brake pedal for 30-60 seconds while the battery is unhooked to totally discharge the system.
That system involves the PCM I believe, so if you have a bad PCM and your D is under 80K miles, the repair could be free.
Have there been any other recent unusual electrical things going on with the car?
