My wife has an '04 Durango, 2WD SLT, 140k, with the 4.7. Today she said while she was driving, that the air bag, parking brake, check engine, and seat belt lights all came on, the speedometer went to 0 and stayed there, and the a/c compressor kicked off. It has done this twice, both within the last 2 weeks. I own a '97 Grand Cherokee, and they have issues with PCM plugs becoming loose and causing issues kinda like this. Does this sound like a possibility or is there a common issue with these? It's been pretty trouble free as far as electrical issues go.

 

There are many recalls for the 2004 Durango and one for the instrument cluster that poses a fire risk. Call your dealer with your VIN to verify any recalls.
