P0734 Problem -- Help Please
I need your help, Ihave a 2009 Dodge Durango that just threw out a code which indicates that I have a gear 4 incorrect ratio problem (thanks to this forum for its help). What can I do to remedy this problem? Do I need to take it to the dealer for repair?
Your help is highly appreciated...

Thanks for your valued inputs, yes the code indicates a transmission problem and today they opened it and found a broken bearing which indicates that the transmission must come down and be rebuilt. Hear in Bahrain, Middle East region the lifetime powertrain warranty is not considered (I simply don't understand why? because it is a DD and was built in the US) ---this makes me simply very angry with the manufacturer of dodge and its complete warranty process in US and beyond. To make a long story short, the dealer said that it would cost approx 4200 USD!to remedy the problem.
I am pleading my case with the DD here and hoping they would repair the powertrain as a good well gesture.
Will keep you posted as things progress...THANKS Again for all your input.

Thanks all for the excellent input :-)
Concerning the limited lifetime warranty on all powertrain parts, the Chrysler company, Middle East decided to give me a 30% discount on just the part!! I still am waiting to find out what parts are required for the transmission. But its good to know that it may just need a side plate on the valve body (Thanks Dodge Master Tech for your input).
I am not giving up! I need to know someone in the States that can help me in forwarding a message of discontent on how customers are given the run-around by both the dealer and the some of the service representatives! The SUV is still in shop.
Anger, disappointment, frustrated are just a few words that I can say now about the DD here in Bahrain and the Middle East! Anyone out there that can help me please!

Hi All...
This is what happened with the P0734 problem that I encountered with the DD which I would like to share with all the Forum onlookers. The following items were replaced:
1. 1. CLUTCH PACKAGE, PISTON PACKAGE. Automatic Transmission, Piston & spring, low/reverse.
2. 2. RETAINER. Transmission 2nd and 4th Clutch Piston. .
3. CLUTCH PACKAGE, OVERHAUL PACKAGE. Automatic Transmission, Transmission. 2/4.
Other small parts where also replaced like transmission oil and nuts. the cost for this fix was about 2000 USD because of the 30% discount that was promised by the Service Manager.
Keeping you all posted... and thanks for your input... :-)
