Default leaking coolant-don't know name of component

There is a small component that connects multiple small heater core pipes together. It is leaking. I don't know the name of the part and am not sure where to get a replacement. Attached is a picture of the part.

Which engine do you have? From what I can see in my pdf factory service manual it could be the thermostat. Maybe look online for a replacement and see if the picture matches. I'll keep looking also.

Well, I think I found it. It is called "pump-auxiliary coolant"

An auxiliary electric coolant pump is used on all models

to aid in circulating the engine coolant through the

front and rear heater core (depending on application).

The electric coolant pump is mounted to the right front

frame rail by a rubber isolator (1) and consists of a

molded plastic housing (2) with two heater hose connections

(3), a 12 volt direct current (DC) motor and

impeller assembly (4) with an integral wire connector

receptacle (5).

OPERATION

The A/C-heater control operates the electric coolant pump when all of the following conditions have been met.

²

Vehicle speed below 48 km/h (30 mph)

²

Coolant temperature between 10° C (50° F) and 110° C (230° F)

²

Front blower motor turned On

²

Rear temperature heat setting above the halfway setting (60% heat)

²

No fault conditions detected

The A/C-heater control turns the electric coolant pump Off when any of the following conditions occur.

²

Vehicle speed above 48 km/h (30 mph)

²

Coolant temperature above 110° C (230° F)

²

Front blower motor turned Off

The electric coolant pump cannot be adjusted or repaired and, if faulty or damaged, it must be replaced.

The electric coolant pump is diagnosed using a scan tool. Refer to 24 - HVAC Electrical Diagnostics for more

information.

Default auxiliary water pump

Thank you for the reply. You are right that it was the auxiliary water pump. I have already fixed it and I'm good to go.

For others who run into this problem here's some info:

1. It's located directly underneath the air filter housing and the battery housing.
2. Just remove the air filter housing by removing the 2 bolts holding it to the frame.
3. It's easy access.
4. Also, if you don't want to put another pump in that is ok to. I found others people with the problem online and they simply bypassed it by getting a coupling ($5~). I know this works as I have driven it the last 2 days and the back has been getting plenty of hot air, I can't even tell the difference.
