Hemi knock

I am thinkin abt buying a hemi motor that has a bad knock can i do bearing repair with out moving the heads off or is there sumthn else thats causing the knock?i need help before i throw money in a lemon...

I would remove the pan if you believe the crankshaft bearing is your knocking sound. And inspect the bearings.
