Default Transmission Torque Converted Dodge?

Question when the torque converted is going bad it can cause the transmission to shudder when going into 4th gear and hard shift especially on that gear too sometime it will shift smooth going into 4 gear ( Transmission start to surge especially in 4th gear under a load )? another problem is when you put the vehicle on park or neutral and press on the gas slowly u can feel a strong vibration even on when you are taking off from a stop too, can this be related to the torque converted too ? engine is running great smooth . Any suggest is the transmission torque converted going out?

2005 Dodge Durango 3.7 123,000 miles

If you have a very bad shudder after the transmission has gone into lock-up. Yes the torque converter could be bad.

sounds like torque converter to me,but, more importanly, why is it going bad??low line pressure?bad solenoid?stuck valve?? there can be a bunch of things that can cause it to go bad,unfortunatly..

I think is age that the torque converted might be going bad.. how much would it cost to replace a torque converted or is better to wait until the transmission give up?
