The radio/navigation screen won't display but I can still hear the radio and the presets work. I checked all the fuses I could find that associated with the radio and they were not blown. The troubleshooting guide in the GPS handbook said the fuse would be bad but it was not. I have a 2006 Durango 4x4 Limited with the 5.7 liter hemi and automatic transmission. Any help i can get would be greatly appreciated. i.e. perhaps the name of the fuse i should check or something of that nature.

Thanks

Sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue with the radio/navigation display. This is some troubleshooting information from the service manual.

No Radio Display
1. Fuse inoperative- Check the radio fuse and Ignition-Off Draw (IOD) fuse in Integrated Power Module (IPM). Replace fuses, if required.
2. Radio connector damaged- Check for loose or corroded radio connector. Repair, if required.
3. Wiring damaged- Check for battery voltage at the radio connector. Repair wiring, if required.
4. Radio ground damaged-
Check for continuity between the radio chassis and a known good ground. There should be continuity. Repair ground, if required.
5. Radio inoperative-
Refer to the appropriate diagnostic service information.

Location of fuses
-Radio battery feed is in cavity F7 and 25 Amp/Natural located in Fuse block
-Underhood fuses (Integrated Power Module)
Cavity Cartridge Fuse / Relay Mini Fuse Description
27 / 30 Amp Green /IOD #1
28 /30 Amp Green / IOD #2

All the fuses were still good. The CD player worked for a moment and then shutdown. I will try the other items on the list to try and work it out. Thanks for the info.

I have a 2007 Durango Limited - same thing as above. Radio/Navigation screen is completely blacked out. Can not scan for radio station, only pre sets work nothing else. Can't see anything which really sucks right now traveling from NC to TX....... So pissed this Durango is starting to fall apart nickel & dime problems all the time.

I have read through post after post about this same problem in Durango, 300's and many Dodge trucks. I have checked all the fuses, cleaned the Nav disc, etc. this unit has never been removed or tampered with. I'm coming to the conclusion that Dodge just put a crappy unit in multiple vehicle line ups.
A new one from the dealer is $2100, they are smoking a bad batch of crack if they think I'm paying that kind of money for a radio that breaks between 4-8yrs?!
I've had (2) Dakotas, currently own this Durango and (2) 04 Dodge 5.9L Diesels w/6speed manual - all have been highly reliable EXCEPT this Durango. From what I gather the Durango is just an SUV on the same old Jeep Cherokee chassis.... The wife wants a damn mini van (yeah that just happened) but I'm hesitant to buy a Dodge Grand Caravan if this is the quality level that will continue to haunt me.
Dodge Trucks= great.
Dodge cars= *** pain.
Any advice or your experience would be appreciated
Plus I need something to read since the radio is stuck on some weird soul train jive and I'm loosing my mind sitting in the passenger seat with 1000 miles to go....

I have the same vehicle as you and my nav unit went out. When I told the dealer no to the 2000.00 he sent it to some shop in Mobile AL and it cost me 600 to get it repaired. That was two years ago. Now I am having issues with the air conditioner even though I have spent 2300.00 on it in the last 9 months. A friend of mine also has the 06 durango and her electronic brain went out. I think she found a used one for it. Im getting sick of this durango and I will never have another one.

Where are the fuses below located? I do not have any 30 amps (#27 & 28 are 10amp fuses) in the fusebox under the hood...

28 /30 Amp Green / IOD #2
