Default 2007 Durango biggest tires possible

I just got a 2007 Durango 4wd SLT with the 4.7 and the stock suspension. My tires need to be changed, I have 265/60/18 on it right now but I'm looking to get a taller sidewall while trying to keeping the width I have now. I've tried to look for info on the forums and other sites with no luck.

Could someone please help me out with a conversion chart or some other way to find out how to make sure I don't rub the wheel wells if I go with a 255/70/18 or 265/65/18 or 265/70/18 or 275/65/18 or 275/65/18.

I've been looking at the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac and the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2. Any other suggestions for tires that are just as good off road as on would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi there,
Did you ever get any answers to this question? I'm looking for the same info.
Thanks.

Over a year later, probably not.

That's a shame. If this was the Jeep forum, he'd have had 20 answers by now. This is our second Durango and we love it, but there seems to be very little helpful info available for these trucks.

Hit or miss on forums these days. Everyone uses Facebook mostly.

Hi, on my 2006 stock, i've used 265/60/18, 265/70/18 and 275/65/18 and all of them worked fine if you twist a bit the torsion bar to fit the space. Personally i've used Toyo Open Country and they're quiet good but wear out too fast and now i have Cooper Discoverer AT3, really good tire for road and offroad terrain, doesn't wear out quick and a little cheaper that Goodyear or BF.

Have on mind that when you use bigger tires, when you corner fast the ESP light blinks on the dash, but i haven't felt nothing else beside that. Get the best of the 4wd system on the Durango and buy some good big All Terrain tires.

Check this tread: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...x4-2006-a.html A few guys and I talkd about tire size

For Goodyear i have a bad felling cause i had a crash on a curve highway 2 years ago in a rainy day, the tires slipped and my former Chevrolet Trail Blazer EXT hitted against the mountain wall. I was using Goodyear Fortera and never will use those again.

I have an 04 Durango. I took off my 17" and slid on a set of 20" wheels with no issues. Your right about no information with these trucks. I think most of what I've found out is due to trial and error.
