Default question about towing

we have an 06 dodge durango limited with the hemi and factory tow package, with 3.55gears. we are wanting to buy a keystone passport thats around 35ft but only weights 6050lbs. ive got the wdh for it. I now the max with the gears is 7200lbs. does anyone see this being a problem. we really dont go that far to camp prob. around 35miles away.

Once you load the truck with people and gear and the camper with supplies your going to be right at or over the weight limit.
I have an 05 limited Hemi 3:55 gears. I tow a 21 ft hybrid starcraft that weighs about 4200lbs dry. I use a WD hitch and I know that thing is back there, especially in the hills. The rear of the Durango still sags a bit with the WD adjusted properly.

You will need a WD hitch with anti sway, like an Equalizer or Reese. You are at the limit, but should be fine if you don't overload the Durango. I tow a Keystone 25RSS Outback, have many thousands of miles with no issues, but a semi passing you will keep you awake! Mine is about 4500 dry, prob 6000 wet. Mine is a Hemi with 3.55, max I believe is 7100 lbs. you are starting heavy, so don' carry too much in the camper. 35 miles is nothing, esp if flat.

I do have a WD hitch, and I added coil-rite air bags.
