I finally found a rustfree Durango and should be able to pick it up tomorrow. When I was checking it out found slight play in both upper balljoints. I'd like to do this myself and will probably throw lowers in right away.

My question is this tho: Can I just replace the upper balljoint without having to do the entire control arm? Saves me an immediate alignment. I haven't been able to find the joint alone on the web. I see upper joints for 2000-2004 Durango but I'm guessing they mean for Gen 1.

 

What year? Rock auto has the whole control arm for like $36 for 2004 and 2005 model. They do not list the ball joint separate, so I assume they are non-replaceable. 2003 they sell upper ball joint only, so I guess it changed 2004 model.

 

I forgot to mention the yr; 2004. I was hoping to avoid realignment. Thanks.
