Default External Temperature Reading Stuck

Hi all, 06 Durango 5.7L SLT HEMI

My temperature reading on the digital console is stuck at 46 degrees. The other morning it was a bit chilly and it read 8 degrees, although it was actually 52 degrees. Is there a way to reset it? Or should the sensor be replaced?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a bad sensor - it's located behind the grill in front of the radiator
