Default IAC Valve Location

Hi all 2006 5.7L HEMI SLT

I'm trying to find the IAC valve so I can clean it up. Does anyone know where it is located?

Thanks in advance!

Should be on the throttle body. Usually a black plastic thing screwed onto the TB with a wiring harness connected to it. Have you removed the air intake and looked?

No I haven't. But I will this weekend. What's happening is, when I start the car back out of the driveway, and when I put it on drive the car shuts off. Sometimes when I pull up to a stop sign it feels as if it's about to shut off but, it doesn't.

The truck just reached 100k. Changed sparkplugs. Ran Seafoam in gas tank. Oil changed 500 miles ago.

I also think the symptoms might be transmission related. I think the tranny was services before I bought it. I have a feeling the tranny filter is not seated properly, which will let air into the system and cause the truck to shut off while shifting gears.

I appreciate your response. I just want to make sure the car is fully functional since the wife drives it with the kids.
