I have a 05 durango with a bad compressor. What is that main difference on compressors with and without rear controls except price? Can I use one without rear controls on mine that has it? Looking at options.

 

The compressors are the same for either. If you're looking at kits and not the compressor alone, that's the price difference since the one for front/rear will come with two expansion valves. There are a couple of compressor options under $200 on rockauto.com plus the 5% discount (google it).

 

Thanks, I would see a $ difference at different part sites for the compressor that stated with rear control. Usually $30-50 difference so I thought that it may come with a different additional control part or something. So as long as it states "with 10S20E compressor" then I should be good.
