I am new to the forum and looking for some stereo info, this is for my wife 2008 Chrysler aspen, great SUV, we love it, it has the 5.7, 4x4, fits our family great, pulls our trailer awesome, its been great SUV for us(knock on wood..lol) except the dam stereo just died, it was a slow death, slowly it didn't work, then it would pop, then make some bad screaming sounds, now it works when we first start out in the morning I am guessing due to it being cold, when it warms up then it goes black, no sound, screen etc etc etc. We decide to buy one from a auto wrecker, we tell them we need one for our 2008 Chrysler Aspen and then one we need is the REN model. They claim they have it, they send it over night, life is great!
we get the box, open it and they send us the RER model which has the Nav. button on it!

So will this still work?(we don't really need the NAV. with the amount of iPhones in our house)

What does it take to make the Aspen Nav compatible? is it easy? is it worth it?

Will the stereo work fine with out the NAV.?

Or should I just send it back and look for the REN model?
