Default In serious need of some help.

Hello everyone, just needing some mechanical expertise here.

Recently on my way home from work my durango did not want to shift easily. It seemed like it would shift to 2nd and then nothing after that. I limped the car home and waited a day. After waiting a day I started the car up and it seemed to drive fine. I checked the codes and one of them was linked to the TPS, so i replaced the TPS the next day.

Since replacing the TPS the car is driving much better, but the RPMS still seem to be a bit finicky for sure. Today on my way home I put the key into the on position and this time the check engine light flashed ( it has been on awhile, the code is P0058 I had a mechanic say it could wait to get fixed until pay day.) This is the first time the check engine light has flashed before when trying to start the car.

Ive tried looking online and really haven't found anything that seems to explain why the check engine light is flashing. If anyone here could help i would greatly appreciate it!

Flashing CEL generally implies an engine miss. If the engine isn't running though..... No clue.
