Default New key programmed and still not working/Defrost issue

Hello,
I have a 2008 Dodge Durango Limited. I have two issues i need to fix.

1.) For the past few months i have been trying to figure out why my key-less entry will not work. Here is the problem...My key-less entry will not work but if i manually unlock my door the car alarm goes off. Once i start the vehicle it will stop. If i use my separate (aftermarket) remote start and then unlock my door manually no alarm... I have replaced batteries and adjusted the contact points in my original key FOB. That did not work so i bought new Keys and had them programmed but that did not work either!

2.) My defrost does not work. The actuator under my glove box was making a horrible grinding noise so i replaced it and it did not fix the issue. I bought the "Main actuator" and am having trouble locating exactly it is so i can replace it.

I have been searching the internet to try and find out the issue with no luck so here i am. Any information on these issues would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to stay away from the dealership if i can.

Thank you for your time.
