Alternative Jack for 2009 Durango??
Hi - I just bought a 2009 Dodge Durango that's missing the entire jack, lug wrench, etc. that comes with the car. Ebay wants $140+ for an OEM kit. Is there an alternative? Can I use a standard jack built for a truck of this weight? Thank you!
I'm in the same boat for my truck. Until I find a cheap jack...I have a can of truck sized can of sealant/inflator and small air compressor. Quite a few of the recent models come from factory without a spare but rather an inflator kit.
If the tire is not repairable...I'll call AAA

@primem - Thanks for that suggestion. I'll add that to the truck's kit.
I'm taking it off road to an area without phone service this weekend. I really just need ANY kind of jack that will work. But it seems like the one shown in the manual is very specific to the vehicle. Am I reading too much into that? Would a standard jack work, using the approved lift points on the truck? For example:
(If you don't want to click the link, the jack it shows is a $25 Tonda 2-ton scissor jack. I just picked it at random.)
