Default AC Leak at the rear.

Hi all, 2006 5.7L Adventurer 116k

I noticed Freon leaking at the passenger rear at the upper part of the wheel well. There are pipes running from the front of the car to that location. There is a bolt that clamps the pipes in place. I tried to loosen that nut but, the bolt snapped off with the nut. I tried to remove the clamp but, it will not budge. Is there a way to seal that area to prevent Freon from leaking? Should I use JB weld on the seams, or gasket maker? It seems I can't get that clamp off to inspect the seals.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That's a high pressure system. If you have a hole in one of the lines, replacement is pretty much the only option.

It's not a hole. It's the gasket where the pipes meet the clamp. I can't pull apart the pipes from the clamp so, I'm wondering if I get something like JB weld and force it in the seams in hopes that it is strong enough to seal the seam.

Wishful thinking.. I can't separate the clamp. It connects to a plastic housing inside the cabin, under the carpet, by the rear passenger quarter panel. I pulled the carpet up and tried to separate the two items and I can't. Does anyone know how to disassemble that section so I can inspect and replace the seal/gasket?
Thanks in advance.

Can you post a pic of the joint in question?
