I have a 2006 Durango when I pulled into the driveway I tried to put the vehicle in park but the shifter wouldn’t move so I pulled down on it and it slammed down into 1st gear and the shifter now moves freely on the column I tried to unhook the broke cable from the tranny and manually move the linkage but it wouldn’t budge either now the vehicle is stuck in 1st and I can’t start it or move it.. any advice on how to get the linkage to move? Is there something I have to by pass because of the cable being broken or no?
