I have A 2007 Dodge Durango with a 5.7 Hemi and over the past month, it has gotten stuck in 2nd gear three times. Each time it has happened, stopping the vehicle and manually shifting from drive to park has not solved the issue. The only way to solve the issue is to shut the engine off and restart the vehicle. Once I do this, it runs just fine.

Any idea what is going on?
