Dealer installed factory satellite radio
Has anyone had any experience with a dealer installed Sirius Satellite Radio. Seems kind of expensive, around $200 + install for the factory tuner & install kit.
If my head unit is Satellite ready will it just become another option under the "mode" button (AM/FM/CD/DVD/SAT)?
I'm considering going this route because I think it will look the cleanest and offer the best sound quality as opposed to mounting a plug n play unit and listening via an unused FM station.
Any opinions or experiences would be helpful
Thanks

Has anybody had their dealer install the Satellite tuner ??? Did they have to drill the roof for the Antenna ? How did the install look? Any problems or issues ??

I imagine if you can find the satellite antenna plug then you could just buy an antenna and route it wherever you want it. I have sirius myself and the antenna that came with it was able to be routed all the way back to the rear on the top of my D. I wouldn't want to drill a hole if I didn't have to. I was able to tuck the wire under all of the interior moldings so that it is unseen.
