How difficult is it to replace the factory installed trailer hitch? I have the 08 Durango Limited 5.7L Hemi that came with the tow package. I was told it was rotted out. I've also been told that it is basically the rear bumper so if that is true it must be welded to the frame?

 

It's likely just bolted on, but, as the bolts and such are under the truck, you can bet they are gonna be rusty and crusty. Crawl under, have a look, see what you think. Either that, or go to a trailer shop, and have them install a new one for you.
