On the subject of TPS sensors

Does anyone know what is required to "reprogram" them? It appears that Dodge Ram and Chrysler Aspen TPS units are not directly interchangeable and have to be reprogrammed. They won't self initialize.

what year and model are the sensors from? if the frequency they work on is different...they are not interchangeable and programming won't fix it.
