Default Airbag light goes off then stays on

Need some help please
2005 Durango 4.7l 4x4
bought my wife some heated seats for xmas.
removed the seats and got the pads in place.
wired them into a switched wire in the ignition harness using some t-taps, and everything seemed fine for about 20 seconds.
seat heaters went out and airbag light popped on.
restarting the truck and the airbag light goes on as normal (initial light check), turns off as normal, and then exactly 6 seconds later dash airbag light and passenger airbag light stays on.
checked fuses in driver's kick panel (double yellow holder with 2 10 amp fuses), they're good.
checked connectors under both seats and they all seem good and tight.
More concerned about the airbag popping open randomly, but still concerned that they won't activate if ever needed.
Any thoughts or suggestions on what to check?
Any help is much appreciated

the airbag system is now disabled. it won't go off randomly.
t-taps are a horrible product; professionals don't use them.

what wire at the ignition switch did you tap into?

does your vehicle has seat airbags or a passenger presence system?

Pink/purple 14 awg in ignition harness. Got this from a remote starter wiring diagram listed as accessory/heater blower2
not really sure what passenger presence system is, but there definently were no airbags in the seats

passenger presence shuts off the passenger airbag if no weight is detected in the seat
the only pink/purple wire I see at the ignition switch are for the instrument cluster and they are not fused.

have you checked the airbag fuse in the left kick panel fuse #25 10amp the wires out of this fuse are pink and violet and feed the airbag module. if the fuse is ok... remove your tap. if no change, post the codes that are set in the airbag module.
