2006 Durango 5.7L 4wd, loose wire from transmission connector
I was replacing the solenoid block in my transmission today and noticed that there was a wire with terminal dangling outside of the connector. I'm kind of having a hard time determining the color, I want to say it's violet (VT), but that other wire on the left side looks really violet. Maybe pink (PK)? The stripe looks green to me. I'll try to get under there with better light to see what it actually is.
Looking into the front of the connector, I can see all but three positions occupied by metal terminals, and the three empty spots have orange block-off plugs on the back side. It's like there's not a place for this wire, but it's there. Could it possibly be meant for an option I don't have, or for a different engine, and that wire is normally tucked up in the harness?
I just put it all back together with that wire still hanging out and it seems to be working fine
