Default Transmission slipping

2005 Dodge Durango 4.7 rear wheel drive Florida SUV with 137,000 miles on it. Changed the MAP and all was good for 3 days. Then after driving in a hard Floridian rain storm the check engine light comes on and the transmission or drivetrain starts bucking when I press the gas pedal or let go of gas pedal. Go to O'Reillys to check the code and it is the MAP with message. "the voltage input to the ECU is too high". Next day with cool engine I check new Mopar MAP part to make sure it didn't come loose or plug is loose. All was fine. Start Durango and engine light gone (probably from battery disconnection for the 30 min it took to check MAP part). I drive it fo about an hour and the Check engine light comes back on and SUV starts bucking again. THEN the transmission starts to slip and SUV slows down. It first seemed like it was in limp mode then fully slipping. Coasted to a stop and turned it off. Turned it back on and shifted it in all gears even reverse and it just spun like the U-Joint fell off.
Anyone have suggestions?
Thanks - John
