Default Unknown transmission problem 545RFE

i’m experiencing a weird issue with my 545RFE transmission, I was driving home one night when suddenly I lost power. Engine was still running but when I stepped on the gas, it wouldn’t move when I shut the engine off you can almost hear gears, clicking together as the engine spun down. It doesn’t move when you put it in reverse, first, second and drive. I checked the ATF, which was full and good color. I pulled off one of the cooler lines and started it and there’s good oil pressure. I pulled the pan and there is no debris. I pulled the transmission and removed the solenoid pack. And I can find nothing mechanically wrong with the transmission. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

i’m kind of thinking that too, but I’ve never experienced this before and this is the second solenoid pack I’ve put in this transmission. The other thing that that makes me feel like it’s more than a solenoid pack is the grinding noise when you shut off the motor and it’s winding down, it sounds like two dry gears clacking together

hearing a clicking noise on shut down? sounds like broken hardware to me, youve pulled the trans so assume we can rule out broken flex plate, flex plate bolts, crankshaft bolts. Sheared input shaft comes to mind next?

I’ve pulled the front seal off the transmission and removed the input shaft, it’s all there and it looks to be in good condition
