I took a nice 400 mile trip this weekend, no problems with my CAI set up. Averaged 23.8 miles per gallon on HWY and it was alot of fun blowing the doors off anyone you needed to pass (great sound also, sounds like a HEMI now). I am very happy with my mod. All they saw was.....

ORIGINAL: HEMI5PNTSVN

I measured out a small piece of 3" inch wide PVC just for the stock tube and filter to bite into which you cannot see.
That's odd, the stock intake pipe on the 4.7 motor is 3 1/2", wonder why they are different? I like the way yours looks but I didn't want to add another filter to have to clean/replace so I added a heater hose fitting to my PVC section for the breather hose. Wish I would have turned it to the side though. Glad I saw your post before I reordered another MAC intake.

My stock tube is the same as yours, the 4.7L and 5.7L set up is the same, the PVC pipe size is from the inside not the out, it's actually 3 1/2"inch wide but it's called 3"inch wide, I did not want to miss lead anyone if they were to go looking for it . Put some pics up so I can see your set up I enjoy seeing new ideas. As for the oil breather filter, that was a whole $9.99 for it.
