Default New D 2006

Just picked up the 2006 D - 5.7 with the bench seat third row. I have a 2000 D 4.7 with same rear seat. However, what I missed when I bought it (about the only thing I misseed) is there is not anything that flips up when you fold the third seat down covering up the gap between the 3 and 2nd row seats when down. What a poor design change??? What if anything is out there to close this hole I have in between the two rows when the seats are down? Any suguestions?

I just picked up my 2006 Durango Limited this past Saturday. Mine has the split 3rd row, but I also do not have a flap that covers the gap when folded down. I had read in another forum group that Dodge eliminated the flap on the 2006 models

Strange. Mine is a 2005 4.7 -SLT- and it does have the flip covers behind the third row to cover that gap. The only thing I miss is that you can't split the third row 50-50 in this particular model and can't open it from the trunk. All of that can be done in the Limited model (at least up to 2005).

Regards,

Okay I have the flap. I have not needed to use it yet. what keeps it secure to the back of the seat? Snaps? Velcro? I just pull it away form the seat and flip it?

Where did you get the flap? Is it from the previous models? When you use it, does it fit okay on the 2006? Thanks.

Just checked with the dealer about a replacement flap from an older model. He quoted me a price of $400 for the two pieces required (split seat). Absolutely nuts in my opinion.
Can anyone with a pre 2006 Durango please post a picture of the flap that covers the gap? I'm thinking of making one myself.

Thanks,
Flea
