Default Torsion Bar Lift

Just wondering if anyone has experienced any problems after they raised the front end of their Durango a couple of inches by adjusting the torsion bars and then having an alignment performed.

Any alignment issues? How badly is the ride affected?

Not after you get it realigned. The torsion bar lift will roll the front tires out and wear the outside of the tire. The alignment will straighten the tire restoring the normal wear pattern. That is 1 1/2 to 2 inches is the max because of the need for realignment.

What size tires can you fit? Any pics? So the torsion bar lift after the alignment will restore stock geometry?

You can do it that way but the ride will get very stiff. If you do the Truxx lift you can lift the front 3in and get the level ride and look but maintain your soft ride. With both you have to do a alingment after I have 285/70-17 on mine that is a 33in tall tire.

Are you running 3.55s or 3.92s.? Just wondering how much extra effort is seen to turn the larger tires.
