I have an 06 Durango. I was putting on some nerfbars today and noticed how rusty the drive shaft was. I mean it's not rusted out, but it looks pretty bad. I know that drive shafts are not painted and such, but should a year old shaft be that rusty looking.

 

My '04 had has the same issue. Surface rust is underneath the vehicle. All over underneath the vehicle. Someone told me it was train rust from them getting transported. I dont know!
