Default Low MPG with CAI - What gives?

Hi All -

I have an '05 Hemi and I put in a system like HEMI5PNTSVN's for about 2 weeks now. After a 200 mile trip on the highway, the on board computer was averaging 20.2 @72 mph & 24.4 @65 mph. In the city, mpg drops to 14.2. So after filling the gas tank and doing the math, the overall average was 15 mpg. Huh??? That just tells me my average in the city is like 8-10 mpg.

I orginally had a K&N filter in the stock air intake and it was getting way better overall mpg.... about 17.

Yes, I did disconnect the battery. Yes I did reset the gas pedal. And I did it again last night just to make sure. On board computer is still 14.2 city. What gives???

So the easy fix is to put the stock air intake & K&N filter back in, but I wanted to hear from you guys first.

thx
