2004 Durango Interior Lights staying on
Just this past week, my lights started staying on. It started that once I got on the road, I could turn each off individually by their manual switch. But now, they just stay on. They all go out except the rear hatch light when the battery saver mode kicks in 8 minutes later. I have checked all doors to make sure they are closed. Tried each and every position on the roller switch to no avail. I know its probably something stupid, but is driving me nuts especially at night.
Any suggestions? I've looked, but can't locate the door open/ closed contacts to see if they are dirty or something?
Any help for this newbie would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I just got word from the dealer. Instrument cluster needs replaced! Don't make sense to me, but the cluster controls the interior lights. $600 part too! My vehilce has to stay parked until the part comes in because of the odometer reading. Things were much simpler when I had my 68 Camaro. The darn thing never broke down and if the interior light stayed on it was because the switch was left on or the door was open, not because it had a low tire.[:'(]
Exact same solution for me too. Thankfully covered by warranty!!!!! Seems like it might be a potential recall issue as I have heard from a few other forums of similar problems.
i have an 04 and as well i have the same problem ..... but when i use the remote and lock the car they then turn off.... on another note if i dont turn off my headlights b4 i turn off the engine my headlights stay on. whats up with that? i have never had a vehicle like that.
