Default ATC DISPLAY SCREEN

Hi I',m new to the forum and I just bought an 04 5.7 Hemi Durango and noticed this morning when I started it up there was no display readout (temp, fan speed, etc) but the buttons still functioned when I pressed them. All otherelectronic displays worked. Then a couple hours later when I went to start it again the display was back. At first I thought it was a fuse, but i'm not aware of any self fixing fuses lol. Any thoughts??

While I'm not familiar with the 2nd gens there are quite a few "Self fixing fuses" called relays in a vehicle. They will shut off when they are overloaded (The relay will overheat and switch off) and will return to normal when it cools off (the relay will turn itself back on). Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply. Hopefully that is all it was, and since then it hasn't happened again. Good to know about those fuses. I did not know they made those.

It sounds like the BCM (body control module) may be acting up and needs replaced. This is a normal sign when they begin acting up. This part is usually covered under warranty.
