Default Dim reading lights has anyone put LEDs in or HIDs?

I've never had a car with such dim lighting. Has anyone found a solution to this? I was thinking of putting in white LEDs in the reading lights up front but dunno the size, I'm the guy without the manual! what about HIDs as interior lighting? Anyone tried that, I've heard there are kits for this. I don't want to rice out my truck and I don't want the bluish lights on all the time like some of the kids in my neighborhood. I just want really bright reading lights in my car when I want to reach for something in the glove box, cup holder, or just for my ipod when it's in the armrest. Open to suggestions, please enlighten me.

I would suggest contacting dodge about what part size lights you need for each area and then as you stated yourself grab some same sized LED's. HID's are probably a little too bright at night if someone turns them on while your driving...
