Why would anyone want to buy an 04 Durango? Unless it's your soccer/grocery rig, what good is this thing.

It has 335 hp, but the tranny won't let you use it unless you are pulling grannies moblile home behind it.
Can't get a chip for it, except the ones that don't work and rob even more power, probably won't because Dodge won't release codes.
Tranny shifts like the Delta 88 I had in highschool right before the tranny spilled its guts all over 495.
Can't cut the yellow wire on an 04
Can't do a lift kit.
Found out the Chrome rims I paid $700.00 for are frigging PLASTIC.

Okay I know I can do the following:

Cold air intake (that's a start)
Exhaust (at least it will sound fast, I like that too)
Add some 20" rims (I'm not the Bling Bling type)
Add Nitrus--Oh yeahh,,, the tranny will tell the engine to slow down and let's not forget the 1-2 grandma shift.

What the hell is dodge thinking. Cool comercials,,, They should have Power Puff Girl driving those trucks in the comercials. Better yet,,, have the Power Puff Girls win off the light driving an old diesel rabbit.

All I want is a tricked out ride,, not some friggin bone stock load.

The Hemi Durango is a friggin JOKE. Can't even chirp 1'st let alone second. If you want a cool Hemi truck, I suggest you buy an 03 Ram so you can at least cut the yellow wire. If you need and SUV and you want to trick it out a little, buy something else until Dodge gets their crap together.

Let the flames begin,,, but I bet there are at least a couple Hemi Dango owners that feel the same pain!

This isn't a flame, but did you actually drive a new durango before you bought it? Did you do any research on aftermarket parts? You'll find more parts by the end of the year, this is a first year model. Aftermarket crap takes a while to come out.

 

Yeah,,, I test drove it and fell in love. Tried to beat it too, but I blamed it on traction control. I didn't know how to turn it off. The one I bought doesn't have TC. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this truck. I just want to trick it out. I hate stock rides and don't have a lot of patience. I'm going to start with CAI and Exhaust. Hopefully more parts will be available in a few months.

As long as you don't "slam" it, I am all for "tricking" it out. But remember no car/truck/suv that has come out in the last 10-20 years as a first year model has had upgrades/,mods for them either. This is the first year of the new body/engine combinations (if talking about the HEMI).
I bought an 04 SAAB that I new had no mods but I new they were in the works and di not complain.

The Superchips programer (for the 04) is in the works for the HEMI and should be out within a few months. Their are the standard window rain guards, from bug shield, rear wing and so on already available.

My dad has a durango and he hit 125 in it. But then again is was the top of the line model. It even beat my neon

 

It's an SUV, if you wanted a hot rod you should have sprung for the V10 Viper Ram. You can't chirp the tires because it weighs like 6000 lbs!

It's plenty fast for me, I love blowing the ricers away with the passing gear, 60 to 90 in the blink of an eye!
