New to forum, not new to the Dodge family.

Just bought an 06' Durango SLT, didn't get the HEMI as we were already pushing the high end of what we wanted to spend for the SLT but I got the magnum motor and it serves its purpose for our family of 5.

Love the truck, so far so good, one day and I'm still happy, no buyers remorse at all, this thing is so quiet on the freeway and the kids can't wait to watch a movie on the DVD setup.

I will probably look for an exhaust and a CAI for the truck in the future to try and milk some more power out of the Magnum motor but for now, it'll have to stay stock. But good thing is the wife has no problems with putting some nice little mods on the truck in the future.

It's only 2WD but we don't tow anything, even though we ended up with the tow package since it came on the only model left with the awesome grey color that we wanted.

All in all, can't wait to enjoy the truck some more.

Got a great deal on a 06 SLT with a HEMI..But no towing package. That works because we don't have anything to tow.

I didn't like the first generation of the Durango's style wise, my wife did, she always wanted one. Just couldn't get used to that . But when they redid the style I loved it. So we finally took the plunge.


We looked at other trucks, but nothing came close to the Durango for the features and the price. Absolutley no buyers remorse or second guessing if we should have gotten a different truck.

My wife loves it and with 3 kids (one in a car seat ) plenty of room. We are still learning and getting used to all the features. My oldest daughter showed me finally where the steering wheel audio controls are. I complained that was a stupid place at first, but now love where they are.

The only thing I have a complaint about is the third row bench seat doesn't exactly fold flat. It folds down but is on a bit of an angle when it is down. Is that normal?

Yeah, my third row seat does the same, not exactly flat but close enough.

I love the truck, getting the MOPAR Borla exhaust for mine this week, I heard a few sound clips and it sounds pretty good on the 4.7L. Plus my dealer is super awesome and will be giving it to me at their cost so I can't go wrong.

The Mineral Gray Metallic was my choice as well. I am kind of attached to the colour. My Jetta is Platinum Gray Metallic and the Jag is Dorchester Gray. All very similar shades to my first car: 1978 Dodge Diplomat 2dr in Sunfire Gray Metallic.

The folding floor does not sit perfectly flat and that is normal.

Congrats on the purchase. I was curious if anybody might be wiling to do me a favor. I have an 06 Ram and have been told the DVD is the same for the Durango/Ram for the 06 Year. My question is would anyone be willing to take a picture of their rear seat dvd and or get measurements. The onese I have seen on e-bay seem to have a black stripe in them which differs from the 05 So I dont know if someone did some customizing... or. Anywho if you cant/dont want to post pictures on here please PM me and I will shoot you my email adress. Thanks in advance,
