Default Headrest monitors on a 2nd Gen

After yet more problems with the factory stere-OH-NO, I'm thinking of pulling the whole thing out of the wife's 2004 Limited and going aftermarket. Wondering if anyone has experience with video monitors in the headrests, rather than mounted from the ceiling? Any suggestions on head units, and/or good installers in the SE Michigan area would be appreciated!

Depending on how technical you are and how involved you want to get. I know there are headrest monitors that have the DVD player built into the head rest. The screen just tilts out and you load the DVD from the top. These seem to be a lot less involved for installing compared to the other sytles I've seen.

I know I've seen some on ebay, if I find a link I will post it.

Well i own a 2005 slt 4wd and i have 8 in headrest monitors. they work great and i installed them myself for way less than the dealer. also it is on a seperate system so i can just pull the headrests and deck out and replace them with the stock ones again when i sell my durango.
