Default 2WD performance in snow?

New purchaser of an 04' SLT 2WD here...love it.

Having never driven a rear wheel drive veh before, I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the 04' 2WD in light snow (dusting to a few inches). Don't get that much in TN, but we do every once and a while.

Does the vehicle have enough weight in back to function adequately in this environment, or will it be all over the place?

Also, anyone know the best place to get some step boards (are the OEM the best and are they reasonably priced?)?

Thanks for your input!

i was told it is great if you have the traction control. there is a post on one of the dodge forums[here i think]where a couple last winter said they couldnt get the rear wheels to break loose as the traction control worked excellent. this said anyone who has driven in snow knows you have to watch the sudden movements ect once it is frozen to the road.we shal find out soon i think with this being the first season to have lots of rangos out in the stuff.
