Default 98 with a 3.2

Hi Guys - my 92 Dakota got whacked by a suicidal deer on wednesday :-( , so I had to do an emergency transportation buy. Iended up with a one little old lady owned, every oil change documented, well pampered '98 Condorde with 80k miles on a 3.2L V6. Question - I have heard that this is NOT a free-spin motor. If you lose a timing belt on this motor, the pistons & valves get real friendly real fast. That said, what is the service life of the timing belt? Do I need to change it? Any other known things to look for?

Thanx

correct 3.2 is not a free wheeling engine
105,000 Miles (168 000 km) or at 84 months [ul][*]Change engine oil.[*]Replace engine oil filter.[*]Replace engine timing belt on 3.2/3.5L engines.[*]Replace spark plugs at 105,000 miles regardless of the time interval.[*]Flush and replace engine coolant if it has not been done at 60 months.[/ul]

Thanks for the info-
I can do the job. I was also a dealer tech, but back in the 80's. Prototype mechanic for Jeep & Dodge Truck during 90's w/master state & ASE cert's back in 90's. Not as familiar with the newer car stuff.
