I have an 02 and the tranny is starting to act up. Sometimes when you slow down to turn off or stop it will down shift and remain in a lower gear. When it does down shift it feels like you were hit in the rear end. If you shut it off and start it back up then it is fine. What could be this problem?
Thanks

Have either of you ever had the fluid and filter changed? Another thing you can try is to disconnect the battery overnight to let the control unit reset itself.

Does it feel like someone hit you so hard you think you are going thru the windsheild? If it does then you have what transmission techs call a bump stop. When you get to that point its time for a transmission reseal.
