I am going to change the Serp. belt on my 2003 SXT. The AC belt is still good, while the serp belt is making noise, i.e. slipping

It looks like I just remove the bolt on the tensioner, and swap belts. Do I need the Belt Tension Tool to get the proper tension?

If it's like my 97, just loosen thenut in the middle of the tensioner and then unwind the bolt on the side.That will move the pulley to loosen the belt. Tighten it the opposite way. TheAC beltis the cheaper one. You should probably replace both at the same time.
