2003 Dodge Intrepid Camshaft Position Sensor Error Code P-0340
I was wondering if somebody can help me out. I am also new to this. Heres the problem I have a 2003 Dodge Intrepid with 39,415 miles on it about 3 weeks ago I started getting the engine light on. Went to autozone to get it scanned and it came up with the camshaft position sensor error. I then replaced the camshaft sensor still problem exists.
Intermittently: The car would not start.
Intermittently: The car would stumble while running.
Intermittently: The Check Engine Light (CEL) would come on with an OBD-II Error Code P-0340
I then had it hook up on the computer and they tested the crankshaft sensor, camshaft position sensor and everything checked out. So now I want to see if there is anything else that can cause this type of problem thanks for you time. David

did you use an aftermarket sensor? if you did that could easily be your problem.....
eh these can sometimes suck.... if you know how, check the wiring from the sensor to the PCM
pretty much can only be three causes for the DTC in this case, PCM, wiring, or sensor.... might be easier to take your intrepid to your dealer.....
