'99 ES Fog lamps
We recently bought a '99 Intrepid ES 3.2L. Low miles(79K), nice all around. But the fog lamps do not work. I checked fused and the relay in the dash. All good.
Now, here's the confusing part. There is a relay/fuse in the side panel on the driver side dash, BUT there's also 2 empty spots in the underhood fuse/relay block for R/R Fog lamps. Any ideas!?!?!? We don't have the owners manual for the car. Also, when i spoke to the parts department at our local Dodge dealer, they stated that our car model was bad about the Headlamp switch going bad and causing the fog lamps not to work. Hopefully this is not the case since it's $100-150 repair.
I was going to check the bulbs before we take the car to an auto electric shop, but it doesn't look easy to get to them. Do I get to them by taking the headlight assembly off? Or do I remove the plastic shield in the wheel wells?
Thank you,

On my 97, you have to remove the headlight assy. This is is done by three screws. One small one in about the very middle of the lamp. The other two are on the sides (one left, one right) and they are about 2-3 inches down on the side. Not the adjusting screws on the top! With these (2 long, 1 short) screw out, the assy pulls out of the frame assy. The fog lamp connector is just below. BTW you will need a torax screw driver to do the job.
I know on the 2002 there is a screw in the lens of the fog lamp and it is a lot easier. I don't know exactly on your model, but I'd check the lens first!
PS Ensure you do not removeor disturb the bubble level if yours is equiped.
