So is this the fix for 2000 Intrepid’s with 2.7L engines. The below post stated it’s for 1999 model years. I understand when it was written the year 2000 wasn't here yet. I just want to make sure this is an option before I buy the order the part.

Replace the oil pressure switch and reck. If the litestill comes on then you will to hook up a pressure gauge.

 

I had the oil pressure light come on with a warm engine at idle on my 2001 Intrepid with a 2.7. I had just receintly done an oil change. I replaced the oil filter and had no more problems. It happened to me twice using Fram oil filters. Now I use Wix filters.

 

Use K&N or Purolator Pure1oil filters.

On the matter of the oil filter for the 3.2L and the 3.5L and maybe not sure for the 2.7L you can use the Purolator Pure1 PL30001 that is made for the mustang 5.0L motor from ford. The filter is bigger and helps to filter the oil better.
